Thank you for sharing your review on the commercial companies at your place. Based on your review I guess that purchasing House and Lot on this place is quite expensive. By the way I'm also a fan of Stauf’s Coffee Roasters.

Let's see… Byrne's Pub and Grandad's Pizza which is right next door. Awesome place to go drink and get some dinner. Marshall's is another good place with reasonable drink prices and decent food.

I've lived in Grandview for 5 years and love it, too! Agree with all your posts but one…probalby because I live two houses from here:

Hellas: “So from the outside Hella’s looked to me like it could be the new hood gyro spot. It’s attached to a sketchy looking liquor store and across the street from another drive-through liquor store, and it’s quite small and shabby.”

Yes, it's attached to a beer/wine store (which actually has a REALLY good section of wines)…but I don't belive there is a drive thru liquor store across the street?

Figlio! It's my favorite restaurant when I'm looking for good food and a relaxed, but nice atmosphere. The price is just right too. I've also never once been disappointed with food or service there (and I've gone there A LOT). I order the same thing every time I go because it's THAT delicious and it's not even on the menu anymore, but they still make it for me every time. Superior customer service ftw.

thanks ash! i haven't been to red door tavern yet, it's on my to-do list, and i havent actually had any GH pizza except for cowtown! i don't know how. i foresee the boy and i ordering lots of pizza this weekend ! i love finding new places. thanks for all the awesome suggestions!

Cool post – GH is my hometown. My walk to/from school used to take me past the Donut Kitchen (the DK in DK Diner) twice a day. Sadly – most of my favorite GH spots have closed (LuLu's, Apex Market). Have you tried Red Door Tavern on 5th? I could go on and on about the pizza wars (Rotolo's vs. Panzera's). I went to school with the Panzeras and churched with the Rotolos so I stayed neutral in the battle. oh and the total coolest place of all is Glass Axis – no pizza or drinks but just really amazing glass art – you can do a class a and make your own. Star Beacon on Goodale was also an interesting store…lots of teacher supply but I got a few gifts there one year. i always forget to go back.

Check out Mazah Mediterranean Eatery (on Grandview, on the same block as Grinders). Very yummy food. Fresh and healthy. Worth a Saturday visit or lunch if you have time. Maggie, the owner, puts her heart into everything and wants her customers to feel like they're in her kitchen.
