Take a drive south of Columbus to Lancaster to take part in a FREE annual Halloween tradition. The Pumpkin Hike at Alley Park draws hundreds each year. Over 600 pumpkins donated by a local couple, David and Carola Neeley, are carved by the community and illuminated for an evening of hiking, activities and hot beverages.
Families come from all over to select a pumpkin and carve out the perfect jack-o’-lantern. Their creations then are placed along a trail that snakes through the woods and around Lake Loretta. It is especailly fun for the kids to then hike to find their creations!
