It’s just about that time of year when the full size replica of Christopher Columbus’ flagship, the Santa Maria, turns into a Haunted Pirate Ship. This family fun night starts with a guided tour on the fore deck of the ship where guests meet a group of Pirates about to become a shadow of their former selves. Once that happens, all the tricks of Halloween break loose filled with spiders, skeletons and ghosts – oh my!

The Santa Maria uses the admission to pay seasonal staff and for programming. Being a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) they depend on grant money for additional operations, ship maintenance and supplies. Because their major grant funder cannot guarantee grant money for next year the Santa Maria needs help staying afloat. They are asking for donations in order to survive at least until they can secure another grant. If you would like to help the Santa Maria on-line donations can be made through the website.
