Imagine the horror to find that one day your healthy child started to lose their sight, motor skills and now suffered from seizures. Unfortunately, this is what happened to the Betz family from Grandview Heights. Their adorable toddler Ceila now lives with this neurological disorder called Batten Disease.

In Ceila’s honor, and to raise funds for other families living with Batten Disease, The Book Loft of German Village will host a benefit open house Saturday, September 26th from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. Stop by after the Buckeye game!  The event is free and open to the public. Enjoy light refreshments and strolling music.  There will also be a raffle with great prizes. Tickets are $5.00 each or 6 for $20.00. You do not need to be present to win.

Raffle tickets are available for advanced purchase. If you would like to purchase raffle tickets email Amy Lombardi at kirka@bdsra.org and indicate the number of tickets you would like to purchase. To make a donation to the Batten Disease Support & Research Foundation donate via their paypal account.

The Book Loft will donate half the proceeds of the evening, as well as the weekend on the Cardthartic greeting cards to the National Batten Disease Support & Research Foundation based in Reynoldsburg.
