September is Hunger Action Month. In order to do their part, Macy’s has big plans and will tap their celebrity brand partners for assistance with a cause-marketing campaign for Feeding America. Macy’s will match all contributions with a goal of donating 10 million meals. Nationally Come Together benefits Feeding America. Locally it benefits Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
Come Together connects the eating at home trend with helping hunger relief. Instead of dining out, Come Together centers around asking consumers to host dinner parties asking guests to make a donation to Feeding America instead giving a host gift.
There are three ways to participate in the Come Together Campaign:
- Host a dinner party
- Give $1 at the register. $1.00 equals seven meals
- Shop during Shop for a Cause on October 17th.
Tomorrow, September 15th Macy’s will host the “World’s Largest Dinner Party” with a first course served at all Macy’s stores on Tuesday, September 15 at 6 p.m. in the Housewares department. All Columbus Macy’s stores, (Eastland, Easton, Kingsdale, Polaris and Tuttle), are participating with the help of Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
