Since 1982, the Center of Vocational Alternatives, or COVA, has assisted and supported the community in overcoming mental, emotional and other challenges to a productive life, focusing on employment, economic stability and life skills.
COVA has empowered nine participants by giving them a camera, a little bit of guidance and a great deal of freedom. These new photographers will share their recovery journey through photography and writing at this year’s COVA exhibition, titled Mental Health Recovery: Through Our Lens & Pen.
You are invited to view this free exhibition to take a peek into the lives of these individuals, learn about their struggles and triumphs, and take another step toward breaking down the stigma of mental illness.
