Forty-four years ago a proclamation from the Franklin County Historical Society named Reynoldsburg as the birthplace of the commercial tomato. Today are still celebrating!
The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival takes place August 14 and 15 at Huber Park on Davidson Drive, just south of E. Main Street.
- 4 p.m. - Festival grounds open
- 5 – 6 p.m. - Little Princesss Contest
- 6 – 6:30 p.m. - Reynoldsburg High School Band performance
- 6:30 p.m. - Opening Ceremony
- 7 p.m. - Tomato Contest Award Presentations
- 7:15 p.m. - Performance by Ashley Everts
- 8:30 p.m. - COYOTE CANYON performs
- 10 p.m. - Festival grounds close
Saturday, August 15
- 6 – 8 a.m. - Mount Carmel Fitness Challenge registration at City Hall
- 7:30 a.m. - NBC4 broadcasts live from the festival with Tom McNutt
- 9 a.m. - Chris Cakes Pancake Breakfast at senior center
- Noon – 3:30 p.m. - Reynoldsburg’s Got Talent
- 3 – 6 p.m. - Pizza Taste-Off
- 3:30 – 4:40 p.m. - Tomato Queen Contest finals
- 5 – 6 p.m. - Community Band performance
- 8:45 – 10 p.m. - SAVING JANE performs
- 10 p.m. - Festival closes
