Hope you’re thirsty, Columbus – the first ever Columbus Wine Festival takes place this Friday and Saturday at Franklin Park Conservatory.
The festival provides an opportunity to sample and learn about more than 150 wines from around the world while enjoying local music in a festival-like setting. Wine seminars and cooking demonstrations are conducted by event sponsors, exhibiting wineries (including one Ohio winery, Ravens Glenn) and area restaurants including The Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls, The Melting Pot, Trattoria Roma and Rotolo’s Italian Pizzeria. There will also be a Belgian Beer Café to educate guests on proper beer pouring techniques, the importance of using the right glassware and food pairing ideas. Musical entertainment for the weekend includes Kim Massie Band, Erin Bode Band and Michael Heaton Band.
Hours are Friday from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday from 1-8 p.m. Festival proceeds benefit Franklin Park Conservatory.
