Huntington ParkAs you walk up Nationwide boulevard toward Neil Ave you get a sense that you are in for a treat with the new minor league baseball stadium, Huntington Park. Huntington Park is home to our beloved Columbus Clippers. And although it is a minor league ball park there are some serious major league amenities.

For a park that holds 10,000 people its doesn’t feel crowded at all. The thoroughfares are wide and spacious. This gives way for a very relaxing and intimate experience.

We entered through the center field entrance which is on the corner of Neil and Nationwide blvd, the entrance closest to the rest of the Arena district. Parking was a breeze and just $3 across the street from the stadium. There are literally dozens of places to park around the area.

We sat in the club level behind home plate which for a first trip to the ball park was a nice treat. There is a huge bar, lots of tables to hang out and socialize. The lodge seating is open and roomy with desk style chairs and a counter for eating and score keeping. Kinda gives you the feeling that you’re part of the press.

If you haven’t yet made it out to Huntington park yet, its a great time for the family, a date or just hanging with friends.

  • Well the season is over. Now we get to wait for next year. On a positive note, there is still Buckeye football and Blue Jackets.
