German Village’s beloved Oktoberfest has been canceled this year due to budget and staff cutbacks. Oktoberfest has been celebrated in Columbus since 1967 and has been named one of the best events in North America in the past. RIP, Oktoberfest. We hope to see you next year.
UPDATE: Bob Nunnally from WCMH-NBC4 sent me this message on Facebook: “Erin O’Donnell with Oktoberfest says they have not cancelled. We just talked with her. They have just scaled back for the time being.”
