For the 29th year in a row, Red White and BOOM is set for this Friday July 3rd, 2009
When it comes to Fourth of July celebrations, nothing is bigger in the Midwest than Columbus’ annual Red, White and BOOM. And this year I would imagine it to be even bigger with most peeps getting Friday off.
Taste of BOOM
Enjoy live music and and great food on Nationwide Boulevard starting at 3PM until midnight with Taste of BOOM. National recording artists Love and Theft will perform at the 92.3 WCOL stage near Neil and Nationwide Blvd at 8:15PM. And the after BOOM party at The Frog, Bear and Wild Boar will be featuring Reaganomics. Check out the Arena District Website for details.
Independence Day Parade
Don’t miss the Independence Day parade with 80 floats, bands and other entries that will stretch more than a mile long. The parade will start at 6:00 PM on Broad Street at COSI heading east and marches north on Front Street. For the ladies, Mario Lopez will be in the parade so here is your chance to sweep him off his feet.
Parking and Transportation
Parking and transportation is a snap with dozens of parking locations available in and around downtown. Or if you would rather leave the driving to someone else COTA will have scores of extra buses available for your convenience.
