subpage_object_logo_memory_walk2This Saturday, June 20th walkers from all around central Ohio will be lacing up their shoes to walk for Alzheimer’s.  The walk is at OSU’s Fred Beekman Park, Corner of Kenny and Lane, and runs from 8a – 11a.

Alzheimer’s Association is on the MOVE to end Alzheimers, a progressive and fatal brain disease.  The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk® is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research – and it calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Did you know that 5.3 Million people in the U.S. are living with Alzheimers and every 70 seconds someone develops Alzheimers.  Those are some staggering numbers!

There is still time to participate or to sponsor a walker for tomorrow’s walk. Franklin County Alzheimer’s Association’s goal is to raise $165,000 and they need your help. For event information or to make a donation click here.
